About us
The Kompetenzzentrum Gartenbau (KoGa) was created in 2002 by the University of Bonn, the county Rheinland-Pflalz and Forschungszentrum Jülich. It is located at Campus Klein-Altendorf of the University of Bonn and encompasses the potential of science, research and extension under one roof.
KoGa encourages an improved exchange of information of the partners and institutions, but enables a more efficient coordination and execution of research projects.
KoGa enable a faster transfer of results of fundamental science from the academic university level via the extension service into horticultural practise.
Vice versa, urgent problems in horticultural practise can be researched in greater depth.
